I have to say I'm liking the present day more and more as it progresses. Leo (it's only a flesh wound) is a badass, saving his wife and running for the door with one arm, it was awsome. I'm routing for them now so I'm hoping the bullet only grazed him, hey if he does live it can't be anymore far fetched then aliens running about.
Of course drunk sister Jude was the best scene ever, loved it and jessica is great to watch.
I'm a bit sad about whats happened to shelly, looks like she's going to be an ongoing experiment of the evil nazi dr. poor thing. I hope I can stand to watch her scenes. I hate amputation stories so I was horrified to see her legs gone, geez!
Do you think the creatures in the woods are the doctors experiments and will shelly end up living in the woods with them. Did you notice if the creatures on the gound were missing legs. they didn't try to get up, they almost looked afraid of the inmates running past them.

Speaking of, when Sister Mary takes the body of the Mexican outside, it appears a Rasper is standing. And I think the three escapees get chased, but that doesn't mean one or all is not an Arden experiment. Some viewers think they are zombies, I think they are just freaky cannibals. Zombies don't necessarily care about newly-dead bodies.
And Shelley is the product of the asylum mindframe. The others are lucky they have only received a caning. Shelley was just in the wrong place, time, and Arden's mood ("whore" was his word of the day).Ooops my bad - I meant Chock, Infantata. All sorts of excuses for that one |

Oh and I totally forgot to mention that Catholics protested the movie "The Sign of the Cross" at the time (1932) for its content. This led to the 1934 formation of the Catholic Legion of Decency, an organization dedicated to identifying and combating objectionable content, from the point of view of the Church, in motion pictures. I'm surprised this was allowed to be shown at the asylum, but if Sister Mary was allowed to choose then that explains why.
Even more useless trivia stuck in my head. That happens when I'm left to think to myself in this cold dark basement.
