Um, yeah, consider the boundaries pushed this season. Last season, we had the colustrum scene. This season, we had the Spencer incest scene...the goat sacrifice fertility scene...the masturbating human kewpie doll with the attending Minotaur scene...and two throat slashes (both of which I knew was coming). I'm waiting for the "fun quotient" that producer Tim Minear mentioned here. While I have said that this season is the best of the three, this one could use the "less is more" motto that they adopted with the alien story of Asylum. Not my favorite episode.

I agree...the incest was beyond creepy...on the bright side,I must say Spencer is looking a lot better this week. I don't get the Minotaur thing..if you cut the head off a steer and stick it over someones head...won't the person just suffocate? Instead this dude has eternal life. Madame LaLaurie must have supernatural powers, too. The voodoo doll girl was "saving Herself" for that special someone...I guess a Minotaur would qualify as "special". Looks like he was about ready to strangle her at the end, though. Other questions.... I don't know why they are focusing so much on Stevie Nicks...I really like her music, but is there a reason why is Misty so obsessed with it? I hope I am getting the names right.....maybe they are leading up to a guest appearance. I wonder what is going to happen with Madame LaLaurie...I don't think she is going to be the maid for long... or.maybe they will have a cute sexy Madame Lalaurie/ Maid to go with the Cathy Bates version. I also am curious to see what they do with the Frankenstein boy... he did manage to say "Noooo" this week, before beating his perverted mother to death, so maybe he will learn to speak. Reminds me a little of Edward Scissorhands...the way he keeps clunking his head into windows. I kind of like him!

I will say this much, in a discussion about rape in the show and how far they can take it, I called the rape of Evan Peters. Although I was really expecting it next season, and not in episode three of this one.
And I frankly believe we consider the incest creepy because on a whole we're not exposed to the reality of boys being raped by women, so it's a bit more WTF to us at first glance.
Did anyone think that Queenie died? Because if she is a human voodoo doll, shouldn't anything done to her be done to the one killing her? So if the minotaur snapped her neck, shouldn't his also be snapped?

Also, if you kill the future supreme, does the current one last longer?

Excellent episode. Getting some deaths in. I figure Queenie is gonna bite the dust. Laveau must have used magic to keep the Minotaur alive, if you noticed he also has hooves. As for Queenie being the voodoo doll and anything happening to her would also happen to someone else, that's not necessarily the case. She would have to use her powers to make the voodoo doll thing work and on whom she picked, it,s not automatic. Tatenstein is gonna be fucked up for a while, and Misty doesn't seem to want to let go. Zoe is going to realize what she did by bringing him back to life, he's going to be on primal instincts for a bit, but he did show some emotion when his mom was givin' him a little tug, so the real guy is still in there somewhere. Brutal, brutal death for his mom.. Her face was smashed the fuck in, deservedly. With Lange killing the next supreme after she refused to kill her makes sense, but I don't know how it works, there must be a new supreme in line now, or she wouldn't have done it. Unless with no new supreme in the running her powers will start coming back and she may get to rule forever if she continues to take out the heir...
